Green Card Lottery Requirements for Photographs.

Green card visa lottery instructions say that each applicant must submit one photograph of themselves in the form of digital file format along with their entry. If the primary applicant is a married person then he/she must include individual digital photo file of spouse and all the eligible children.

If you are applying for the DV 2012 green Card lottery you must upload a color Photo along with your duly filled Entry.

Black and white photos are not accepted.

Group or family photos are not accepted.

All photos must be recently photographed ones.

If you didn't submit photos of the eligible members of your family, your entry will be rejected.

You can take either Digital photograph through a Digital Camera or use a scanner to scan a photo print and make the digital file as instructed.

When taking photo
The person must look the camera straight, and keep the head not tilted, do not wear any glasses that may obstruct the eyes, Do not wear any head cover or caps (except for religious belief), the back round behind the person must be a light colored wall, with good focus.

When taking a Digital Photo the camera must be set to take photo in JPEG format, File size no more than 62,500 Bytes, and 24 bit color depth.

When scanning a Photo Print the out put size must be 600 pixels X 600 pixels.

The scanner resolution must be 150 dpi, file format in jpeg, 24 bit color depth and resolution 600Pix x 600pix.the file size must not be more than 62,500 bytes.

It is better to take photographs by a professional photographer in a studio for better results.
