DV Lottery Results.
DV Lottery results of the American Government's official visa lottery program usually starts to come from the KCC in the month of May and will continue till the end of July. Those who have addresses in America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean countries will get the winning notification early by normal postal mail. The package will contain winning person's notification letter with his/her full name and address along with a computer generated case number and special bar code. Necessary forms and information on the related diversity visa processing and related visa fee too can be found in side the package.
Officially there are 50,000 immigrant visas are available under the dv lottery program each year, although nearly 100,000 applicants will be selected as winners by the computer draw and will be notified as winners. This is because, all the selected people may not have the eligibility requirements to proof them at the visa interview to get the available visa in that fiscal year.
DV Lottery results will be sent only from the KCC by regular postal mail.
There will be no email, fax or phone notification sent to the winners from the KCC. Some time you may get winning notification in this method, but don't trust them. If you had used an agent or law firm contact them and verify it.
Those DV lottery applicants who are not selected for the visa lottery program will not receive any notification.
The US Embassies or the US Consular offices can't provide the winners name list.
Some countries like Nepal and Albania publish the name list of their country visa lottery winners name list and address in the newspapers and web sites. This information is provided by those country post offices from the received the postal mails that were sent by the KCC.
If husband and wife both are selected as winners for the program, then the one who is with more qualification must proceed with the winning and the other must stop further processing with the winning.
Those who are not eligible by country or don't have the required education/work experience are too requested not to proceed with the winning as they may loose their non refundable visa fees U.S$755 at the interview.
For the first time in the history of the American dv program those people who had applied for the DV 2010 and DV 2011 can check their status online to view whether they are selected for further processing for the visa program or not. The results will be available in the U.S Government's official dv lottery web site from 1st of July 2009 till 30th June 2010 for the DV 2010. DV 2011 winners can check their DV lottery results online from 1st of July 2010 till 30th June.

How to check your DV Lottery result online?
If you are one of those applicants and want to check online, you will need the confirmation number which was shown to you in the computer screen after you have submitted the dv lottery entry form through the American Governments official web site. Further more they will require some personal detail to be filled to get the result online.
If you had lost the Confirmation number don't try to get it. It won't be reissued by the KCC.
