How much is the DV Lottery Visa fees?
On the day of your interview you must pay US$ 755 as diversity visa fees in US Dollar or equivalent local currency to the U.S Consular office as instructed by them. If you have any dependants included in your application form, then you must pay US$ 755 for each of them. Don't send money by post or other means to obtain American Visas.
If I was refused of the DV Lottery Visa (Immigrant visa) at the American Embassy, will they return my visa fees back?
If you had faced the DV Lottery interview at the U.S Embassy and they had refused to issue you the required Immigrant visas for any given reason, your visa fees will not be refunded. All your visa fees are lost. So make sure you have all the required eligibility requirements before you attend the DV lottery visa interview at the U.S Consular office.
I don't have High School certificate. But I have good work experience. Can I participate in the U.S DV lottery?
It is important to have the successfully completed high school certificate to participate in this DV Lottery program. As per the DV Lottery requirement most of the third world country work experiences won't count. This work experience will count mostly for those people who obtained work experience from the developed countries only. This is because; most of the developed countries' vocational training programs are nearly equal to the American vocational training programs. Any how before applying for the green card lottery, read the instructions carefully and understand it.

Who can apply this lottery to live in America?
Native of a country whose natives are qualify. Check in our application form if your country name is available. also a person was born in a country whose natives are ineligible but his/her spouse was born in a country whose natives are eligible, such person can claim the spouse's country of birth provided both the applicant and spouse are issued visas and enter the U.S simultaneously. Also if a person was born in a country whose natives are ineligible, but neither of his/her parents was born there or resided there at the time of his/her birth, such person may claim nativity in one of the parents' country of birth if it is a country whose natives qualify.
What is the age limit for the Green card lottery?
There is no age limit mentioned in the DV lottery instructions. But as per the education request you must be over 18 years of age to achieve the educational target.
If I am a married person whom i have to include in my application?
Your spouse along with all your children who are unmarried and under the age of 21 years must be included in the DV lottery application form.
What is the education requirement needed to apply for this lottery?
You must have successfully completed 12 years of education or two years of work experience in a job that requires 2years of education to perform that job. Department of labor's o*net online database will be used to determine qualifying work experience.
Can wife also apply for this lottery?
Yes, a family can apply two applications. If both of them are meeting the required eligibility requirements for the DV Lottery program, one application by the husband as a primary applicant and the other one by the wife as a primary applicant can be submitted.
How to apply for the Greencard lottery?
It is allowed to apply only through the online application forms that are available in the American Government’s official DV Lottery web site. Postal or other means are not accepted.
Who will inform me if I am a winner?
If you are selected by the computer random draw as a winner you will notified by the KCC, only through postal mail with further instruction and information about the related visa fees. We or any of the US embassy or us consular section can't provide the dv lottery winner’s name list. Those who are not selected will not get any notification.
How many people will be selected?
Each year there are 50,000 visas available for the program. As all the selected people don't have the required eligibility, they may select nearly 100,000 people as dv lottery winners to select 50,000 eligible from it to issue visas.

I am a DV Lottery winner. My son who was included as one of my dependant is studying in the USA. Is it necessary for him to attend the DV lottery visa interview?
Yes, he must come over to your country and has to attend the DV Lottery visa interview with you. He must do the medical and you must pay his DV visa fees too. If you are issued with the visas then he can come to the USA with you or can join later.
