DV2011 Application Form.
DV2011 application form will be available online as E-DV entry form later part of this year 2009.Diversity Visa Lottery is officially operated by the American Government to issue 50,000 Permanent Residency (PR) Visas to eligible people from countries which are sending less people to The USA. The lottery is main aim is to maintain the diversity of the U.S.A. The winner selection is done through a computer random draw from the electronically submitted entries around the world in the given 60 day’s period each year. American Government’s one and only official web site will only accept entries for a diversity visa program each year. The DV 2011 program starting date and closing date of the entries acceptance will be soon announced by the U.S State department in the media. Those who want to apply for the program must have the required country of eligibility, education/work experience as required. It is strongly recommended if you don't have the required qualification don't enter in to this DV 2011 program. The selected winners will not be issued with the American Immigrant visa but will be given a chance to apply for the PR visa by paying a non-refundable visa fee and following the normal visa application procedure.
DV2010 Results.
DV2010 visa lottery results are being sent to those computer random selected people as winners. The process started in the month of May 2009 and will continue through the month of July 2009 to their given postal address by regular postal mail. To issue 50,000 visas nearly 100,000 people will be selected and notified. Those who are not selected as winners will not receive any notification.
For the first time the DV lottery program will allow the DV 2010 applicants to check their status online from July 2009 till June 2010. Those who have participated in the DV-2010 visa lottery program can find out whether they are selected for further processing or not in the American Government’s official web site. To check the winning status or the dv-2010 results you will need the confirmation number which you got after submitting the entry online and your personal details. Those who don't have the confirmation number can't check the online results as the confirmation number will not be reissued.
DV2010 did allowed people to enter for the visa lottery in October to December 2008 for a period of 60 days. The diversity visa fees for each person will be a non refundable visa fee of US$ 755 for each person. This can be paid in US or local currency on the date of the interview to the U.S Consular office. For any reason the visa is refused the visa fee will not be refunded.
DV2009 Visa Lottery Program
DV2009 Results to the winners were notified by postal mail between May - July 2008 to their given addresses as in their E-DV entry form. They were sent with further instructions and information on visa application and diversity visa processing fees. Interviews to issue visas are already started from 1st of October 2008 and will be closed on 30th September 2009. Those who are in the USA and selected for the program can contact the USCIS to adjust their status between 1st of October 2008 to 30th September 2009. Issuing visas or changing status will not be allowed under DV 2009 program after midnight of 30th September 2009. Those who are not selected will not receive any notification. Second letter for the interview will be sent 4-6 weeks prior to the interview date. For the DV 2009 lottery program nearly 9.6 million people participated and 96,000 people were selected for further processing to issue 50,000 PR visas.
